Born near Berlin, Gutsche Sikora trained as an industrial designer. In 1989 she moved to Vienna, later intensifying her painting activity in Steyr in 1991. Her works attract attention in international exhibitions and galleries.
Gutsche Sikora develops her idea of the ideal image by drawing inspiration from social phenomena and personal experiences. Her works are portraits of figures and idylls, resulting in colorful, fictional-realistic scenarios. Lived and imagined experiences merge with mastery.
Her artistic activity is fueled by an irrepressible joy of life, the spontaneity of the moment, and a great dose of passion and sensuality. In addition to large-format paintings, her art is also expressed in design, where she lends elegance, dynamism, sensuality, and mystery to decorative furniture components for SIRO Austria.
